Seeking Reality

Do you need to believe certain things about the world in order to safeguard your paradigm? A paradigm is an illusory bubble that all of us create. We create it so we can make sense of the world we live in. Such behaviour is now slowing our evolvement. A paradigm is a limitation we place on ourselves. This limitation guides us in how we can behave in certain situations. Our personal growth can be limited in how it shows up to the world due to an overlying paradigm.

Maybe you recognize yourself in the following example whereby you attend a family gathering. When at the gathering you notice many of the same behaviours you exhibited when you were a teenager. You have done lots of personal growth work, but this behaviour shows up nevertheless.

The dynamic in the example is one of a larger pattern that has been created due to underlying beliefs that were previously present in the past. The paradigm is the memory of a pattern of beliefs that has been flash frozen in your brain. The good news? These paradigms can be cleared away much like beliefs – as long as they are recognized for what they are.

The best way to live is without paradigms. This is when we are truly free. To cutlivate free will requires persistence and committed action. What action are you taking today to get out from under your paradigms?
