In recent travels I have come into contact with many individuals that are in the process of re-inventing themselves. Some have recently left long term relationships. Others may be re-evaluating their next career move or looking at moving to a new geographic location. Some are even questioning the validity of the rules of society under which they have lived their lives. What each person has in common is a search for answers as to what direction to proceed in. They want to feel that their next life changing decision is the right one.
On a deeper level each individual is attempting to connect with their heart, and get an answer they know is right for them. How many of us have agonized over the answers we get when we attempt to connect to our hearts. Sometimes we get an answer one day and a different one the next. What is really going on here?
Most of us have had many experiences of heart ache in our lives. It is this cumulative effect of heartache that leads us to lose trust in our hearts. Once we lose trust we lose that connection with the part that is greater than ourselves – our inner wisdom. Only a healthy connection with our inner wisdom can keep us on our path and allow us to feel that we are living the life we are meant to live.
How can we reconnect to our hearts and our inner wisdom?
In order to reconnect to our hearts we must seek to understand those situations that caused us to lose trust. Was it due to being taken advantage by those we loved? Was it something you saw happen to someone else that was close to you? It is only through self examination of the beliefs that you have created that you can free yourself from the mistrust and come back into trust. The time spent on going inward is time much better spent than going outward to find answers. Re-inventing your life begins in the heart.
